MWPA announces Maine Literary Award winners
PORTLAND – The Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance has announced the winners of the 2022 Maine Literary Awards.
The winners were announced in a May 24 event hosted at SPACE in Portland. All told, nearly 400 writers sent in their work for consideration. After a panel of judges considered the many eligible works, a group of finalists was announced, leading up to the event where the winners were named.
(Note: Two of this year's winners are books that were reviewed in The Maine Edge upon their release. Check out our reviews of Robin Clifford Wood’s “The Field House: A Writer’s Life Lost and Found on an Island in Maine” and Ellen Booraem’s “River Magic”.)
